The prevalence of various forms of a metabolic syndrome in the Kharkiv population is established: excess weight - 27.6%, hypertonic disease - 27.8%, disturbance of tolerance to carbohydrates - 5.9%, a diabetes type 2 - 1.8 %; excess weight and hypertonic disease - 19.8 %, full displays of a metabolic syndrome - 5.3 %. On the basis of the comparative analyses of antidiabetic and hypotensive preparations proved optimized treatment regimen of various forms of metabolic syndrome. Field of application: public health.
