Progress trends in the world titanium industry were analyzed. Production flow sheet was substantiated and developed. An experimental plant was constructed for testing basic process conditions of titanium production from tetrachloride. A hollow cathode was designed with tetrachloride batched feed and a multi-cathode electrolysis cell to assure process continuity, improved technical and economical indices, reduced consumption of utilities, raw materials and reagents. Experimental batches of electrolytic titanium were produced, their structure and quality data were investigated.
