The object of investigation is the Art of Slobozhanshina in the 18th - 20th centuries. The subject of research - peculiarities of the ways of the regional art development in the context of art process in Ukraine. Research methods are integrated, which combined art-stylistic and art critics analysis with cultural, historical, social and design aspects. In this work the most important regional achievements in different fields of arts are thoroughly analysed. The special importance of Slobozhanshchina in the development of design in Ukraine is discovered. The main tendencies of the art development of this region in the 21st century are outlined. The conception of Slobozhanshchina art development at the present moments and art education are worked out. Within this scientific and research work the monograph "The Graphic of Boychukistiv" by Sokolyuk L.D. is written and published (Kharkov - New - York, 2002. - 224 p.) and a number of articles by A. S. Pivnenko, O.D. Gladyn, T.V. Pavlova and others are included. This work is marked by the theoretical and creative novelty. Its results will be used in writing the new history of the Ukrainian art.
