Methods of an investigation: cultivation of microorganism cultures, microbiological methods for the determination of quantity of colony units forming nitrificating microorganisms by boundary dilution methods, physico-chemical methods for the determination of ammonium nitrogen, nitrates, nitrites, orthophosphates, chromates, surfactants by means photocalorimeter KFK-3. Basic results: It is established that the biological reduction of Cr(VI) can be conducted under aerobic conditions during periodic and continuous cultivation of selected microorganisms. The possibility of the biotechnologicalremoval of biogeneous elements, for example, nitrogen, phosphor compounds from water has been shown. The methods for the intensification of water purification from surfactants and humus substances have been considered. The influence of physical, chemical, and biological factors on the processes of the oxidation of organic substances by heterotrophic and autotrophic microorganisms has been studied. Area of application: the efficiency of the purifying installation operation can be increased by the use bacterium strains which are capable to change oxidation-reduction potential of medium and in this way to use being and introduced inorganic compounds with variable valent elements in water as terminal acceptors of electrons for the organic contamination oxidation.
