The ways of practical use of scientific results in solving the key problems of ethnopolitical sphere of society were defined. The situation and specificity of ethnonational and ethnoconfessional processes in modern Ukraine were studied, their regional specificity, nature and also the essence of ethnic contradictions and conflicts were proposed. Monographs, scholar articles, analytical papers, including those of retrospective character, that concern interethnic and interconfessional relations in Ukraine were published. The conclusions and propositions that may be useful for state power and local authorities in regulating the ethnic policy in Ukraine, taking info account the regional specificity, were substantiated.
