Service life of different kinds wire-cable production is established by the appropriate norms and does not exaggerate 30-35 years. On some sites of the Kharkov underground cable production is used the greater 29 years, that is normative term of its use is almost exhausted, and in the near future it is necessary to replace all network of cable communications which will result in a significant monetary outlay on the part of the Kharkov underground. But really term of operation wire-cable can be increased production of separate sites, taking into account be relative constant conditions of influence on isolation of cables (an arrangement of cables in tunnels with constant influence of an environment, maintenance constant voltage and loading in electric veins of cables). On the basis of the analysis of the phenomenon aging of isolation of cable production and processing with the help of the theory of reliability of statistical given gauging resistance of isolation which characterize an actual operational condition of isolation of cable products, is possible to predict real term of fireproof operation of cables.
