It was proposed the optimal structure of nitride coating (nonstechiometric nitride and oxynitride) for further boron implantation. The protective properties of nitride coatings after boron implantation are changed insignificantly in comparison with nitride and more significantly in comparison with nontreated titanium. It was shown that activity of nitrogen-carbon-containing medium depends on the temperature of process. The saturation in such medium allows to additionally improve the microhardness of nitrided surface. It is determined that saturation in two-component medium does not effect on the phase composition of nitride coatings but improves their electrochemical properties.
