General requirements" has been developed. In the process of development of the standard the existing scheme of self-rescue of the mine workers in the coal mines of the Ukraine and foreign countries was studied. Investigations of the conditions of emergency flight of the mine workers from the irrespirable atmosphere are carried out. Efficiency of the modern scheme of self-rescue of the miners is analysed and the survey of the methods of raising safety of works at the coal mines is realized. The request for development of the standard is worked out, submitted and appoved, the first wording of the standard and the explanatory report are developed. These documents have been sent to six organizations for answers. On the basis of the remarks of these organizations "The Code of Remarks" has been drawn up. Afterwards the final wording of the Standard of the organization of the Ukraine is worked out. Field of application: coal mine workings. The introduction of the standard will raise safety of the mine workers and guarantee safe keeping the property of the enterprises, reduce economic expenses connected with underground accidents.
