It guarantees comfort breathing conditions during 40 min by use at an environmental temperature from minus 20 up to plus 40°C. In spite of this the inhaled air temperature doesn't exceed 55 °C, and the breathing resistance doesn't exceed 0.75 kPa. The mass of the apparatus is 3 kg. Service life is 5 years. It is achieved when using the new semipendulum scheme of air motion by breathing, as well because of the original hydraulic scheme of regenerative cartridge and the order of its filling with the substance containing oxygen by production of the apparatus, development of new design of a starting device that guarantees the minimum force to actuate it, use of an effective heat-and-moisture exchanger having new design and application of a new ПБ-5 briquette that is notable for high thermal stability in the starting device. The apparatus is manufactured in the oval case made from the corrosion-resistant materials.
