A batch of highly dehydrated carnallite has been tested under laboratory conditions, and the results thereof proved the availability of the above material to be used as source material for magnesium production; electrolysis process technical and economic performance values have been determined. Process schedule for processing of bischofite solution from Poltava deposit for the further production of magnesium metal and magnesium alloys has been developed.
