The research object is new and nontraditional types of the deposits of useful minerals. The aim of the work is to carry out the theoretical basis for the discovery the new types of the deposits of useful minerals. The research method is based on mineralogical, geochemical, structural and tectonic criteria for the discovery the new types of the deposits of metallic and nonmetallic useful minerals. The most perspective new types of the deposits (gold, aluminum, diamonds, rare elements, shungite, stavrolite) are separated on the basis of the geological, mineralogical and geochemical regularities of the distribution of the deposits of the principal formation types of ore and nonmetallic useful minerals. The up-to-date achievements about the crystal field theory and also the data about the distribution of transitional elements in the processes of mineral formation are generalized. The use of isomerism is shown as an instrument for prognosis thenew types of the deposits. The principles of the estimation of the scales of possible ore-bearingness of territories are examined, the recommendations to improve the methods for search and estimation works depending on the prognosis of the ore types formation are given. The summed up data in the report may be used when carrying out prognosis-metallogenical researches and selecting the primary areas for search works.
