A detail analytical survey of modern microwave systems of broadband radio access systems is performed. The parameters of quality of service for microwave systems are defined, the dependence of error probability on signal-to-noise ratio is selected as the generalizing parameter. It is made the choice of optimal parameters of a system. Necessary amount of program modeling, with help of existent CADs and own original software, is performed. The developed methodology for building microwave broadband radio access systems included in itself the architecture of a system (levels of system, system topology, access protocols specifications), principles of developing 28 GHz systems, the ways to develop systems in millimeter and sub-millimeter ranges, the procedure to analyze interference level in contiguous cells and the system of power level adaptation to changes in weather conditions.
