In the process of work the following tasks were accomplished: the existing systems and technologies of collection, communication, holding, exchange, analysis and providing the users with oceanographic data and information were improved and the new ones were developed; the existing oceanographic databanks, specialized oceanographic databases, database management systems were renewed and the new ones were created; the methods and technologyof mapping were improved and new digital atlases with reference books on condition of the separate marine environment characteristics were created; the analyses of variability of condition of the separate marine environment characteristics was conducted.
