The changes of biotic diversity of the water ecosystems in the area have been monitored for the time of last century. The influence of human activities on the ecosystems of Black Sea estuaries was also evaluated. In addition, Dipteran fauna of Tabanomorpha infraorder and subfamily Tephritinae in Ukraine and Palearctik region was researched. The types, peculiarities and localization of distribution areas were analyzed in connection with particular ecological traits of both imago and larval stages of various species. Both qualitative and quantitative diversity of each family were evaluated, and condition, which favoured the diversity evolution, were determined. Taxonomic status and ecological specificity of Tephritinae representatives were researched. The hypothesis of subfamily phylogenesis and genesis of Ukrainian Tephritinae's fauna were reevaluated.
