In the course of work realization the definition of thermooptical properties of thick light foils of different types of covering and materials with high values of sun light reflection and forecasting of stability of their characteristics under influence of space factors was carried out. Emissitivity factor and absorbing capacity of solar radiation of thick foils have been investigated by optical and thermal methods. The table of general thermooptical properties of tested materials of solar sails, which becomes the database for the next future space missions. Modeling of thermal regimes of sails (thick foils) that allows to evaluate influence of space factors on thermophysical characteristics of materials and sail elements at different parameters of space orbits was conducted. An analysis and calculations of thermal regimes of sail elements at various orbital parameters allow to forecast working temperatures of sail materials during space missions. Conception of packing of solar sails before their installation into container of space apparatus has been developed. In proposed method of sail packing and their opening realized during test packing on sail models and associated units complex equipment and expensive materials of tool set are absent.
