The subject of research - the mechanisms of photosynthesis regulation and assimilates distribution in plants as source-sink system. The purpose of the work - to study the role of various energy and plastic balance regulating mechanisms in plants of different genotypes, to determine the photosynthesis limiting sites in stressful conditions and to develop means for management of assimilates distribution in source -sink system of plants. The methods of research: spectral ( fluorescence induction, spectrophotometry ), photochemistry, electrophoresis, polarography, gasometry and vegetative and microfield methods. Peculiarity of the realization of the mechanisms of quantum efficiency regulation of photosynthesis, in partiicular, thermal energy dissipation and the role of violaxanthin cycle pigment in this process have been studied in wheat plants under various condition of nitrogen nutrition, high-temperature stress, soil salinity and drought. The role of photorespiration in the tolerance of photosynthetic apparatus in wheat plants of different ecotypes to high-temperature stress; the interrelation between photosynthesis and activity of chloroplast antyoxidant enzymes and the photosynthesis limiting sittes under stressful conditions have been considered. The influence of plant growth conditions on photosynthesis and source-sink relations have been investigated in plants of wine grapes and sugar beet. There were developed means for increase of yield productivity of plants with unlimited growth type ( sugar beet, rape) using the retardants to optimize the distribution of assimilates in plant source-sink system in favour of growth of their economic valuable parts. It is concluded that for practical use of the developed methods it is necessary to test this methods under industrial conditions. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
