Methods: clinical, instrumental, immuno-biochemical. Results: CHF progression in patients with IHD was associated with the augmentation of most of the signs of immunoinflammatory activation, namely with the increase of certain cytokines levels (tumor necrosis factor-alpha, interleukin-4) and lipoprotein-containing immune complexes; angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors only in target doses significantly suppressed excessive cytokines production; simvastatin contributed to the diminution of immuno-inflammatory activity, normalization of nitric oxide metabolism, decrease of oxidative stress, enhancement of endothelium-dependent vasodilatation; the correction of immunoinflammatory activation in CHF was associated with more significant improvement of patient's functional state and left ventricular systolic function.
