The results of the studies for the solar power concentrator, or antenna in the form of spherical shell are presented considering a nonhomogeneous contact with a supported base. Structural elements with residual stresses, steel vertical reservoirs for storage of oil products, having form defects and plates with cracks are studied and the results of these studies are proposed. Investigations into physical and mechanical properties (strength yield, modulus of elasticity, stress of pull) of the stiffening layer for the concentrator of the collimating mirror are carried out. The results of the research are used to evaluate strength of walls of RVS-5000/RVS-20000 - types steel vertical reservoirs, to develop methods and algorithms for studying a strained-stressed state of the Cyclon ( 4 LV structure, to make recommendation on the most efficient technologies for manufacturing the collimating mirrors of general-purpose compact antenna ranges for complex research of spacecraft.
