General health status of children is defined as unsatisfactory. High frequencies of respiratory diseases, gastrointestinal disturbances, inflectional diseases and home traumatism were revealed among habitants of industrial cities of Ukraine (6375 children). The following medical and social problems were determined as obstacles for upbringing of health child in most families, as low level and worsening of financial supply and social security of families during period of growth and development of child, insufficient attention to appropriate conditions for support of child's health, scornful attitude of parents to child's education of hygienic attainments, cut medical activity of parents, lack of parents' watchfulness to risk of child traumatizing and acute diseases preventive measures, irrational nutrition of children, indoor smoking and accustoming to alcohol consumption in families. Measures are developed focusing on appropriate conditions for a health safety, a prevention of disorders in child's development and a relief in adaptation for a study in school.
