Objective: hygienic and medico-organizational optimization of school adaptation (SA) of junior schoolchildren at institution of general education (IGE) aimed at their health preservation and promotion, and at contributing their harmoniousness development. Methods: clinical, hygienic, psychophysiologic, socio-psychologic, mathematical. Theoretical and practical results: significant features of SA formation out (psychoemotional stress, motivation for schooling, and quality of life, as dependent on health). The he was worked out a set of medico-psychological measures aiming at morbidity decrease, certain rise in physical and social adaptability levels, as well as health level improvement in schoolchildren in the course of schools of general education being reformed. There was developed an informational and analytical system of monitoring schoolchildren's health (SH) in a unified information space: IGE, treatment and prophylaxis organizations (TPO) and territorial sanitary-epidemiologic station (TSES). Some measures for upgrading the system of SH on the basis of coordinating the work of differently subordinated institutions were proposed. Novelty: it has been established that significant indicators as regards SA of junior pupils are the quality of life, as connected with health, a level of psychoemotional stress, and motivation for schooling. There were also defined information features for estimating individual and populational health in schoolchildren in a unified informational-analytical system: IGE - TPO - TSES and the architecture of database was outlined, as well as software for analyses of SH status was worked out. Effectiveness: upgrading schoolchildren's, medical assurance, optimization of adaptation of children of present-day primary schools, rise in the quality of schooling, prevention of health deterioration and signs of disharmonious development.
