The purpose of researches - to create the scientifically proved concept of transition of Ukraine on new technologies of soil tillage. Methods of research - field stationary and modelling experiments, computer processing of soil-climatic databases with use of different software. The theoretical and practical results - Method and soil-technological zoning of an arable land for Ukraine on suitability to minimal and no-till. Results of field experiments on minimal tillage are generalized, recommendations published that were approved by Ministry of agropolicy and distributed in the country. The novelty – for the first time of concept of transferring of the Ukraine to alternative methods of tillage was elaborated. Concept includes the proposal of decision of financial, organizational and scientific questions at condition of wide implementation of them.
