The purpose of investigation is to develop genetic ecologically-substantive classification of soils of Ukraine on a parametrical basis. Methods of investigations are comparative-geographical, profile-genetic and analytical. The classification structure is proved, genetic ecologically-substantive classification of soils of Ukraine is carried out, diagnostic criteria for every taxonomic level by morphologically-genetic and quantitative properties are determined. Theoretical and practical results - the role of relative diagnostic criteria in parametrical soils classification is proved, principles of its creation are determined, system of taxonomical units with morphological and quantitative diagnostics is carried out. Novelty - for soils' classification at a level of type and a subtype relative diagnostic criteria for the first time are used, every taxonomical unit is characterized by the certain quantity index, which parameters are determined by ecology of soil formation. Efficiency - classification raises up to 85-90 % accuracy of diagnostics of the genetic status of soils and informativity of the soil data.
