On the base of domestic raw we developed a composition based on silicon-organic polymers and catalyst for giving acid-protecting properties to cotton and polyester fabrics and fabrics from mixture of cotton and polyester. We determined the optimum parameters of use and ratio of components in composition for fabrics of different raw compound. We determined water absorption, waterproof, air permeability, resistance to sulphuric acid 20%, 50, 80, 96%, and stability of finishing to repeated washing. Laboratory research carried out in Ukraine was confirmed by production test in China, at the Zibo textile silk integrated plant. The tests have shown that the acid-protecting characteristics of fabrics processed by the offeredcomposition meet European and world standards.
