Subject of research: quality of life the population of the postSoviet countries. The purpose of work: research of a real condition and the comparative analysis of quality life the population of the postSoviet countries. Methods of research: questionnaire, the analysis of the statistical data, the secondary analysis of the sociological information. The analysis of the scientific publications, secondary analysis of the sociological data of the international comparative research project "Living Conditions, Lifestyles and Health" is conducted, realized in 8 countries of former USSR in 2000-2004 at support of European Union and with participation of authors of report, and also statistical data analysis on the problems of quality of life, lifestyles, social well-being of the population to eight of the postSoviet countries. Results of research the theoretical and methodical work was carried out with the purpose ofthe further improvement of theoretical and methodological bases of research and conceptual sociological analysis of a problem postSoviet of a lifestyle and quality of life. The analysis and generalization of the scientific publications, statistical information on a theme of research on Ukraine and another postSoviet to the countries is carried out; the analysis, theoretical generalization and interpretation of empirical given sociological researches is carried out. The special attention on such questions, as postSoviet an image of life was focused: Ukrainian features; the comparative analysis of the standards of life of the population and their maintenance in 8 postSoviet the countries on the most important parameters (quality and safety of life of the population, material situation and social well-being, right and freedom of the citizens, satisfaction of needs of the population in health services, sport and healthy way of life of the population postSoviet of the countries etc. is carried out; the worthy workas a parameter of quality of labour life of the population in postSoviet societies is separately considered; the focus of social politics on maintenance of quality of life of the population in postSoviet the countries is certain; the conclusions and recommendations concerning the decision of a problem of increase of a level both quality of life of the population and optimization of social politics of the state are offered. The results of research can be used by development of directions of social politics directed on increase of a level and quality to life of different layers of the population, at development of methods of regulation of a standards of living of the population in conditions of a deepening of social differentiation, by optimization of legislative base regulating questions of maintenance of the vital standards and overcoming of poverty in conditions globalization and Euro-integration of Ukraine, deepening of processes of integration with other countries former USSR etc. The data received as a result of research, can be a basis of monitoring on problems of study of quality of life of the population, which has the special value in connection with an estimation of efficiency of social politics and social maintenance in the country and separate regions, and also planning and development of the specialized social programs, legislative initiatives, by preparation of the experts on sociology, state management, social work.
