The symposium " The New Technologies of Documentary Resources' Protection: Prevention of Extreme Situation in Library; Ways of It's Overcoming " has been developed. By the results of researches of the factors of influence of environment for a state of the weakened material basis of the documents in 2005 for the libraries of Ukraine the instructive-methodological recomendations " Conservation of Library and Archival Funds in Unfavorable Ecological Conditions " have been worked out. The results of scientific - applied work on the theme have been utilised for preparation of the publications and speeches at conferences, seminars on conservation and preservation of funds. In 2005 the employees of the Centre of conservation and restorationof NBUV took part in 4 international and all Ukrainian scientific - practical conferences on conservation of funds.
