Paleomagnetic bench marks of the boundaries of regional layers and separate horizons in according to planetary paleomagnetic taxons have been obtained. Magnetostratigraphic schemes of the Upper Neogene of the Crimea-Taman and Pont-Caspian regions have been constructed. The volume and the place of the Pontian layer have been established at a scale of geologic time. The results of the paleomagnetic studies of loess-soil sections of the southern and central parts of the Ukraine were used to establish the paleomagnetic benchmarks. The necessity of a careful revision proved for all now existing pedostratigraphical schemes. The results of the scientific studies are used in the framework of geologic surveys "Derzhgeolkarta-200". The activity of the Ukrainian magnetic observatories within the network INTERMAGNET has been analyzed.
