It was established that not only translocation of NF-kappaB from cytoplasm to nucleus but also its transcriptional activity is dependent on state of polyamines metabolism. Inhibition of polyamines synthesis leads to decrease of expression of proteins of NF-kappaB-dependent genes (c-myc and bcl-XL) and to increase of expression of p53, cox-2 and iNos genes proteins. The data obtained show an important role of transcription factor NF-kappaB in tumor development and dependence of its function on metabolism of polyamines.
