The domestic energy resource potential and renewable energy sources, the current state of electricity sector and energy efficiency level, diversification feasibility of hydrocarbon supply sources, methodological approaches to energy security level determination are analyzed. The findings shows the need to taking into account the current tendencies of world energy development and world experience in state's energy providing in the development of Energy Strategy of Ukraine and other energy security issues papers.
