Methods: questionnaire, orthopaedic examination, ultrasound densitometry, anthro-pometric method, X-ray methods, biochemical methods, estimation of factual feeding. In experimental research it was used histomorphometic method, study of biochemical and biomechanical bone properties. Results: The temp of bone loss in postmenopausal women depends on peculiarities of menstrual function, state of factual feeding, anthropometric peculiarities. This research brought out the important negative role late menarche in forming the peak of bone mass, and early menopause in development of osteoporotic fractures and osteoarthritis of knee.
