Sci Ukraine popup.description2 Purpose: Study of the quantitative and qualitative aspects of correlative and regression relationships between the physiological and biochemical indices that characterize the state of the pro- and antioxidant systems at aging. Objects: young and old drosophilas, mice and rats. Methods: determination of gas exchange, body temperature and antioxidant enzyme activities in the liver of mice and rats and in the drosophila homogenate. Results: With a relative stability of the mean values, in aging one could observe changes in the correlation between antioxidant enzymes in animals of various species. Thus, an age-dependent decrease in the amplitude of most study indices may be indicative of the dying of the individuals with extreme pro- and antioxidant indicators.
