The research technique is experimental one that consists of study of the dying off kinetics of the test-microorganisms in their aqueous solution under action of sodium hypochlorite in the presence of the homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts and investigation of the destruction kinetics of the active chlorine under action of these catalysts.The key results are as follows. The ecologically suitable methods of water disinfection with use of the homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts (containing Cu2+ and Ag+ ions) and chlorine-active preparations have been developed. In so doing, the active chlorine at its concentration 0.3 mg/dm3 makes use of, and this reduces to a minimum the environmental risks when using the water so reached.Application field is disinfection of water suitable for potable water supply and for swimming pools.
