Among the major problems under the study were social development and ideological movements of pre-Mongol times, studies in history of Kievan chronicle-writing of the eleventh and twelfth centuries; problems of historical recollection and awareness of Kievan Rus' history in the Early Modern historiography; sources and mystifications of the famous "Russian History" by Vasily Tatishchev. The results of the studies were published as a monograph by Oleksiy Tolochko and ca. 70 academic publications by the members of the Center.
