The purpose of work: to study the mechanisms of wool formation processes and to elaborate of genetic-biochemical approches of sheep wool productivity and wool quality improvment. The methods of research: biochemical, physiological, radioimmunoassay, histochemical, haematological, zootechnical, statistical. The theoretical and practical results: the data about metabolism processes in the organism of ewes with different physiological status and connection with wool growth, chemical composition and physiological properties of wool were carry out. It has been shown relations between blood proteins, skin proteins and proteins of hair follicles, the role of lipids in wool formation processes. The using of somatothropine to lactative ewes accompanied by anabolic changes in the organism, such as a higher levels of the general protein, general lipids, phospholipids, cholestero, reduced glutathione in the blood and rise of alkaline phosphatase activity. Increasing of anabolic processes in ewes' organism under the action of growth hormone leads to rise of wool growth on 9,3%. Тhe novelty: the protein heterogenity with high content of sulphur S-carboxymethylkerateins in polyacrilamide gel with the use of Tris-glycine buffer system was studied. The proteins by the molecular size were devided in five fractions with molecular weight of 22, 21, 16,11, 10 kDa correspondingly. The data about the influence of biologically active compaunds on the metabolism processes in the sheep's organism. It has been shown that feeding of chelate compaund with methionine accompanied by rise of wool growth and milk yield. The sphere of use - biochemistry, sheep-breeding.
