Morphobiological characteristics of 206 varieties have been established and made ready for becoming part of the European database. Seven varieties released by the Institute "Magarach" have been characterized based on a number of characters and by using definite methods. Berry and callus cultures of those varieties have been studied for total phenolics, anthocyanin profiles and for three microsatellite loci VVS2, VVMD7 and VVMD27. Isoenzyme profiles of 25 autochthonous varieties to be use for their differentiation have been obtained. A total of 22 forms of grapevine different on the basis of ISSR-PCR analysis have been differentiated according to their genetic distances.
