Such structures may be a base for design of the narrow-band filters of new type in IR and microwave range of electromagnetic waves. The system of differential equations was proposed to reformat at spatial symmetry of problem of diffraction. Last fact leads to reduction of computing time by the factors of 4-12 without loss of accuracy. The modified stable S-algorithm of numerical analysis of diffraction, which is based on the method of coupled waves, was developed. The new method of analysis of band-gap structure of photonic crystals that lets to reduce of computing time in comparison with classical method of plane waves, was proposed. The physical rezones of the high transmission by metallic grating with narrow slots were revealed. The models of optical devices basedon periodic structures were designed.
