Aim of the work - to evaluate collection variety samples by morpho-biological signs in different zones of Ukraine and to single out sourcet of early maturity, productivity and other economically-valuable signs, to introduce a passport system, to form base, sign, special collections of the gene pool of vegetable and melon crops. In 2005 at Institute of Vegetables and Melons, UAAS and at its research stations there were investigated 2048 collection variety sample./ In the result of conducted investigations in collection nurseries there are breaded high productive and early-ripening samples with high biological value of fruits. In all for 5 years of investigations there are singled out and proposed for breeding work 592 sources of economically-valuable signs of 18 vegetable crops.
