Aim of the work - to work out national standards of Ukraine, which will ensure getting the high qualitative yield of seeds of watermelon, melon, pumpkin, cucumber, squash, bush pattypan, keeping their variety purity, biological and economically-valuable signs and satisfaction the requirements of the standards in force for seeds. In the report there are given main statements of national standards drafts on the technology for growing seeds of watermelon, melon, pumpkin, cucumber, squash, bush pattypan in the open ground in accordance with the soil-climatic zones of Ukraine. In the basis of the worked out drafts of-standards there are progressive innovations and science achievements, recommendations of Institute of Vegetables and Melons UAAS, network of research stations and other scientific institutions, that ensure getting the high qualitative seed material with keeping its varietal purity, which will satisfy the requirements of the normative documents in force for varietal and sowing-qualities of seeds. The worked out drafts of standards will ensure seeds quality, work safety for a man's life and health, as well as environment preservation. In the standards there are determined demands to accomplishment of technological operations in the succession, which must be maintained in the process of seed production of watermelon, melon, pumpkin, cucumber, squash, bush pattypan.
