Aim of the work: to create early-ripening productive F1 hybrids of garden radish, resistant to abiotic factors and diseases, for obtaining early output in all regions of Ukraine. In the result of the fulfilled in 2000-2005 years work at Kyiv Scientific-Research Center of IVM, UAAS there is created and given to the State variety testing a new high productive F1 hybrid of garden radish Sideia. The hybrid Sideia F1 is obtained by crossing two self-incompatible inbred lines: the line Ха3 х the line Zha4. Average for two years of competitive variety testing the hybrid Sideia F1 topped the standard Basis on 0.3 kg/m. Industrial study confirmed that it is a perspective and competitive one. The hybrid Sideia F1 is recommended for growing in film unheated green-houses of all districts in Ukraine and in the open ground. The economic effect of the new F1 hybrid Sideia growing is 0.33 Hr/m2.
