As a result the data needed for studies and developments of new types of arm and improvement of the existing arm are obtained. There are three main lines: - silent arm; - sound suppressors (PSUZV) for light firearm; - special-purpose light firearm. In this context theoretical and experimental studies in physical phenomena in shooting are made, and mathematical models of gasdynamic processes in operation of the sound suppressor are built considering a various approach to simulation and a technique for calculating and designing the efficient PSUZV sound suppressors. The serviceability of procedures and the validity of simulation of a gasdynamic process in the PSUZV suppressors are confirmed by experiments. The scatter in the theoretical and experimental data is not exceeded 20 %. The designs and design documents on Khortitsa, Fort, PM pistols, light submachine guns, submachineguns, OP-SKS and Saiga 410 carbines, sniper rifles based on Chezeta, AV and AVL sports rifles are presented. Also developed are devices to fit an optical sight on AV and AVL rifles. 50 PSUZV prototypes are manufactured by our own efforts. Techniques and equipment for studies of PSUZV sound suppressors are developed. Under conditions of the shooting gallery and the firing range tests are carried out evaluating the efficiency of sound suppressing. To order of Ukraine's MVD and SB more 20 prototypes of PSUZV sound suppressors for submachine guns, machine guns, pistols and sniper rifles are manufactured. Assessment of the market is shown that the above sound suppressors do not compare with other types of sound suppressors produced in Ukraine and CIS, and have data of the world counterparts.
