Objects of investigations are the varieties of straw-berry Rusanivska and Zenga Zengana with mulching with straw, wood wastes, buck wheat wastes and combination of straw and buckwheat wastes. The thickness of the mulching layer is10 cm. The scheme of planting is 0,90x0,15 m. The aim of the work is to determine the influence of the mulching materials on yielding and to select the most effecient variants. The methods of investigations are field, laboratory, mathematics statistics. It has been determined that the level of humidity in the soil was higher on the strawberry plots, mulched with wood wastes: it exceeds the control level on 10,3 %; and the second variant was the combination of straw and buckwheat wastes, which exceeds the control level on 14,3%. Higher yielding (0n 20,5-21,2 %) as compared with control has been received under wood wastes mulching and combination of straw and buckwheat wastes (on 31,4-40,7 %).
