Malaya of Ukrainian Academy of Medical Sciences" popup.description2 According to the WHO minutes the organized and nonorganized populations of the Kharkov's region aged 18 to 65 years old were examined in 2004-2006. 3382 persons included 1842 males and 1658 females were examined. The metabolic syndrome was diagnosed according to ATP III (NCEP) recommendations (2001). The diagnostics models of chronic incommunicable diseases and their risk factors detection had been created. The criteria of realization of risk factors and their combinations in the development of chronic incommunicable disease as well as possibilities of their nonmedicamentous and medicamentous correction at preclinical and clinical stages were elaborated. The metabolic effects of combined hypotensive and hypolipidemic therapy and the influence of such therapy on cardiovascular risk in patients with metabolic syndrome had been studied.
