On the surface of a- and b-tubulins it was identified the sites of specific interaction with dinitroaniline and phosphoramidate herbicides, that are arranged on the surfaces of inter- and intradimer contacts and have common component - positively charged cavern binding the herbicide nitrogroup. But at that their amino acid composition and localization on a- and b -subunits don't coincide. It was revealed that mutations in and -tubulin conditioning the resistance to dinitroaniline and phosphoramidate herbicides have different effectiveness due to the distinction in site accessibility on the surface of a- and b-tubulin..
