Continuous high-frequency automatic measurements of surface ozone concentrations are being performed. The dataset obtained is processed. It is shown that the variability of hourly ozone concentrations observed over different days is mainly related to variations of meteorological conditions and vertical exchange processes over mountain terrain. However, other natural events such as intrusion of stratospheric ozone could induce somewhat larger fluctuations of ozone mixing ratio. An increase of ground-level ozone concentration in 2006, in comparison to 2004-2005, is revealed. Moreover, by the use of a 3D trajectories model, the most important processes influencing ozone concentration and trends as well as the major transport pathways can be determined. The results are used in international projects on monitoring of chemical composition of the atmosphere. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
