Development of the radioasrtonomical equipment. popup.stage_title Head Shulga Valeriy Michailovich, Registration Date 10-01-2007 Organization Institute of Radio Astronomy National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The developed mixer shows world-best values for 3-mm noise temperature at room temperature conditions, namely 130 K in the DSB mode with a 100 GHz LO frequency. The feasibility of efficient frequency conversion with a low noise level demonstrated for highly-doped Schottky barrier diodes operating at a low temperature is in contract with the stereotype that claimed the necessity of using solely diodes with a low cerrier concentration to construct deeply cooled mm-band mixers. A series of 3-mm receivers has been created that posses a record sensitivity over a broad range ot temperatures, criogenic included. A new subreflector has been designed for the radio telescope RT-22. The star-forming region G122.0-7.1 was studied and two bipolar ouqflows are found in it. The RT-22 radio telescope has been used in the program of observing millimeter-wave emissions from methanol masers. A first methanol maser has been detected at 95 GHz in the SNR Kes 79, and the SNR has been found to be interacting with a molecular cloud. Theoretical investigations have been started of extragalactic emission sources, i.e. radio galaxy, galactic cores, quasars. The results are expected to help targeting future observations with radio telescopes. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
