Registration Date 19-01-2007 Organization Main Astronomical Observatory popup.description2 Aims: To obtain physical parameters of the dynamical phenomena which define the main properties of the solar photosphere and control the non-radiative energy transfer to the outer layers (chromosphere and corona). The study is based on the observations and theoretical modeling of the optical solar spectra. Methods: Analysis of own and published earth-based and space observations; mathematical modeling. Results: Observations of the quiet and active regions of the solar surface are carried out. Physical parameters of the small-scale magnetic fields beyond the chromospheric network are obtained. Parameters of the convective component of the velocity field and intensity field are determined; their relationship is investigated for the photospheric heights from continuum level to the temperature minimum. Amplitude-phase characteristics of the photospheric acoustic oscillations are obtained. Modeling of the propagation of acoustic-gravity waves in the quiet atmosphere of the Sun and in three-dimensional magnetic structures like sunspots is performed. A set of semi-empirical models of the solar flares and active regions which describe the temporal and spacial evolution of the velocity field, magnetic field and temperature, is created. Diagnostic methods and software for analysis and interpretation of the spectral observations are developed. They take into account the inhomogeneous structure of the solar atmosphere and small-scale magnetic fields. Stokes profiles of the FeI, TiI, MnI, SrI, BaII solar spectral lines are synthesized and analyzed using 3-dimensional magnetohydrodynamical (MHD) atmospheric models.
