The Institute of Surface Chemistry of the NASU of Ukraine organised the International Workshop for young scientists "Nanomaterials in Chemistry and Biology" (May 18-21, 2004), NATO Advanced Research Workshop "Pure and Applied Surface Chemistry and Nanomaterials for Human Life and Environmental Protection" (September 14-17, 2005) and the Ukrainian Conference for young scientists "Nanomaterials in Chemistry, Biology and Medicine" (May 24-25, 2006) with total number of the participants - 262, oral reports - 64 and posters - 198.
