Specialized hardware and technology have been developed for crucibleless electron beam zone melting of semi-conductor materials with electron beam scanning along the molten zone and with passage of electric current through the sample during melting for microgravity conditions. Cyclograms of the process of liquid-phase sintering of composite materials of WC-Ni system have been established. A space simulation test chamber for installation on ISS has been developed; evaluation of applicability of the laser and hybrid laser-plasma welding during performance of repair operations has been conducted. The operator's workplace has been designed for work performance on the station outer surface; a tool for coating repair has been designed and its sample has been manufactured.
