The objective of the work is development and manufacturing of a basic element of modular type storehouse for (RAW) with essentially raised operational and protective characteristics in comparison with traditional storehouses' ones. The objective is reached by carrying out of a complex of research, design and technological works directed on optimization of the radiation protective blanket, technical and technological procedures to ensure manufacturing of a full-scale element of the module (D 3,5 м, h = 1,5…2,5 м) with required characteristics. With use of the developed modern high technologies and the base equipment of state enterprise "Production association "The A.M. Makarova Southern engineering factory" the full-scale experimental demonstration sample of the basic element of the module with highly effective protective coatings has been manufactured. During performance of works under the given project the analysis of existing storehouses, their basic characteristics has been conducted, the basic requirements to perspective modular storehouses from the new materials, which are developed on the basis of high technologies, have been formulated. For use of such materials when manufacturing the experimental sample of the basic element of the module there were carried out researches of mechanical properties of the composite material under action of gamma-quantums with energy up to 10 kеV. Are investigated gamma-irradiation protective properties of a composite material and its combination with blanket in form of a layer with modifiers with filler of various dispersiveness, combinations metal films in a range of gamma-quantums energy 7...130 kеV. As a result of such researches design and structure of blanket were optimized. The protective properties of the blankets developed exceed by 3 times the protective properties of concrete in a gamma-quantum energy range of 7 - 130 keV. All the said hasallowed to create and realize research technologies of manufacturing the basic element of the module, creation and drawing of blanket on it and its constructional elements and to make the experimental sample of a basic element of module storehouses. It is expedient in following year to pass to a following stage - constructions (on one of ranges for storage of radioactive waste) of the research sample of storehouse with use of modern domestic high technologies which on a number characteristics exceed known both domestic and foreign storehouses and materials for their manufacturing.
