Objective: to determine some peculiarities of health formation in children and adolescents of different age groups in the course of their stay at general education institutions in rural locality taking into consideration the impact of social, hygienic and in-school environmental factors. Methods: longitudinal clinical, sanitary-and-hygienic, social-and-hygienic, physiologic-and-hygienic, psychological and statistical. Theoretical and practical results: on the basis of longitudinal investigations there has been established some impairment of the health status in schoolchildren from countryside first of all due to the digestive, respiratory and endocrine systems diseases, as well as to mental and behavioral disorders. It has been proved that the impact of biological, psychological and social factors and in-school environment on the health of schoolchildren changes significantly depending on their age. It has been established that school leavers in the countryside do not possess any clearly formulated value orientation as regards their own health, while specific social environment of different populated localities significantly influences their inclinations as regards realities of life and ultimate values. There have been revealed differences in the dynamics of physical development in schoolchildren from the townside and in those from countryside. Certain standards for physical development of schoolchildren from countryside have been worked out. Novelty: a technology for prognostication of the in-school factors impact on the health of children under conditions of rural institutions of general education has been worked out. A technology for hygienic estimations of the inner picture of health in schoolchildren has been developed. Effectiveness: said technologies contribute to medical support of raising the effectiveness of their schooling activity and to prevention of their health impairment and manifestations of their disharmonious development.
