The purpose is description of the basic concepts through the names (key words) which have a set of features both common to the whole nation and individual author’s ones. As a result of research the substantial features of a concept and conceptual world image are found out; a concept system (categorization, conceptualization, conceptual sphere, conceptologics) is grounded, the methods of conceptual analysis are approved: dictionary interpretations in a projection on discursive practices; lexical compatibility as display of conceptualization stages; contrastive method with the purpose of concept’s national specific identification; concept marking in grammatical forms; establishing of derivational relations of words; analysis of phraseological material, proverbs, sayings, aphorisms which form a concept or estimate the keyword of a given concept.Thenovelty of approach in description of concepts is: in creation of algorithm of lingvoculturological actions for wide description of the key concepts of national culture; in the exposure of individually-author’s concepts which determine the specific of idiostyle that is the features of the author’s world view; in correlation both national and individual author’s conceptual sphere with ethnolinguistics, with the signs of national mentality.The materials of the presented research are actively used in an educational process (courses “Lexicology and phraseology”, “Linguistic analysis of text”, “General linguistics”, special courses on cognitologics and lingvoculturologics), they stimulate the scientific activity of students, graduate students and post-graduate students. The efficiency of work is determined by resonance of publications, use of concepts description methods in research work of teachers, students and graduate students; in writing methodical papers, manuals, dictionaries.
